training for all students and staff at Mogadore Local Schools will
focus on the following three core areas. Whenever possible, technology
training should be presented as an integrated component within all
existing curricular areas. I. Develop Informational Literacy Skills A. Find information from a variety of sources using electronic resources B. Evaluate the sources of information C. Evaluate the information; comparing and contrasting information from multiple sources, basis of authors and intended audience II. Problem Solving Skills A. Use technology to gather data in real-time, as an ongoing process or from archived sources B. Manipulate data including sorting, classifying, relating and/or performing mathematical operations C. Model problems using literal, mathematical and/or visual representations D. Propose and evaluate solutions using a variety of technology tools III. Communication A. Use word processing/desktop publishing to produce a wide range of written documents B. Use electronic means to communicate within the school, community, country and internationally with peers, educators, government officials and experts in fields being studied C. Use multimedia rich tools to present information in alternative formats |
