|
What is here?
|
A
collection of software to make you more productive as a Technology
Coordinator, Teacher, Administrator or any IT support person. Most of
the programs are free or very inexpensive. A few programs have a
slightly higher costs, but are selected due to their good value and
high productivity to cost ratio. For most of the programs that are not
free, I have included links to demo or limited versions. In addition
some of the free programs have more full featured versions available
for purchase on their homepage.
|
How is the list of programs arranged?
|
The
software has been grouped by function. Some titles are listed under
more than one category because the can provide multiple functions. The
classification of the software groups is from presentations I have
provided at the e-Tech Ohio Summer Summit, e-Tech Ohio State Technology
Conference and/or other venues.
|
| How can I quickly search this site? |
To
quickly search this page use the "Find" function of your Internet
browser.
Ctrl-F key combination to find and Ctrl-G to find next occurrence
within the page (⌘--F or Apple-F & ⌘-G or Apple-G on Macs) |
How do I get the software?
|
You
can download it from this page, the software's homepage or using a
direct link.
See information below to help you choose the method to use.
|
Why are there three links for each software
program?
|
-
The link to software's homepage, is the preferred
way to
download the software. It will provide the most up to date version of
the software along with information on the software, its uses and any
possible upgraded or fuller featured versions of the software.
-
Direct link to download the software from its
homepage or software repository site(s)
-
Link to an archived copy of the software which is
housed
on this server. This is the least acceptable method as the software
located here is often not the most current version. These links should
only be used if both of the links above do not work (either temporarily
or permanently due to remove of the software and/or its home page have
been removed from the web.) This server is not designed to handle large
downloads so it may be much slower.
|
What should
I do ?
|
If
you:
- find a program that you think would be a good
addition to this page, please e-mail me the information on the program
and web address source. My e-mail: mo_luscre @ mogadore.net
- need help, I am sorry but I can not provide software
support for the programs listed here.
- have serious trouble with a program, please let me
know so I can reconsider its inclusion.
- have trouble downloading a program from this page,
please try right clicking your mouse on file name and when popup menu
appears choose "save link as", "save target link as" or similar command
depending on which browser and version you are using
