Schools will be closed on Monday, April 8.
The eclipse event begins at 1:59 p.m. as a partial eclipse, and will last through 4:29 p.m. The total solar eclipse (totality) will be visible everywhere in Summit County from 3:13 p.m. - 3:17 p.m.
If you want to order special eclipse viewing glasses, there are many available on Amazon. They are also being sold at various local stores and gift shops in the Summit County Metro Parks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. No matter where you buy them, either online or in a store, please be sure that they are rated CE and ISO Certified Safe.
