Students are scheduled for only a half day of school on Friday, October 30th due to a morning teacher inservice. Students should plan to arrive at school between 12:30 - 12:45 on October 30th with costumes on, ready to begin the Halloween parade and activities. Student costumes should be appropriate to the school setting (please leave weapon type props at home), costumes that might be suitable for a sixth grade student could be overwhelming for a kindergartner. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to wear inflatable costumes on this day. The parade will start at 1:15 with classroom activities afterwards. Parents are asked to park at Lions Park and walk up to the school to watch the students parade around O. H. Somers.
Transportation Information:
Transportation will be available for students who regularly ride the bus to and from school. Morning pick-up times will be approximately 4 hours later than the regular pick-up time. Example: 8:05 a.m. regular pick-up → 12:05 p.m. Halloween pick-up. Please have your child outside and ready at their scheduled time. If they are not waiting, the driver will assume they are not riding that day.
Only regular bus riders may ride. No additional students will be permitted. Pick-up locations will remain the same. Afternoon drop-off will run as normal.
